An Caisteal (996 m).

This is typically a munro that you do at the same time as Beinn a’ Chroin which is further along the ridge and part of a horseshoe. I did it whilst the mountain was in cloud and there was snow on the ground. Although not particularly difficult there are a couple of very steep scrambles/climbing that I had to concentrate on as they were quite exposed. The route starts and finishes near a tunnel under the active railway line situated 200m away from a layby on the A82

6 hours (but this includes Beinn a’ Chroin)
